CHEESECAKE COOKIES 
1/3 c. melted butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk or cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix brown sugar, nuts, and flour in large bowl. Stir in melted butter and mix with hands until light and crumbly. Remove 1 cup mixture to be used later as topping. Place remainder in 8 inch square pan and press firmly. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.

Beat cream cheese and sugar. Add egg, lemon juice, milk, and vanilla; beat. Pour onto baked crust. Top with reserved crumbs. Return to 350 degrees for about 25 minutes. Makes about 16 (2 inch) squares.
