WINKLER'S SUGAR COOKIES | |
3 sticks butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 4 eggs, beaten 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 tsp. lemon extract 1/2 tsp. almond extract 5 c. all purpose flour 1 tsp. cream of tartar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1. Mix butter and sugar in a large bowl until smooth and creamy. 2. Add eggs, vanilla extract, lemon extract and almond extract; mix well. 3. In another large bowl, combine flour, cream of tartar, salt, baking soda and nutmeg; mix well. 4. Slowly add flour mixture to other mixture; mix well. 5. Place dough in a greased bowl. Refrigerate overnight. 6. Roll dough on a floured surface. Cut with cookie cutters. 7. Bake on a greased cookie sheet in a preheated 350 degree oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Makes about 60 cookies. |
