ENGLISH TOFFEE 
2 c. sugar
1 lb. butter
1/4 c. almonds
1 (6 oz.) chocolate candy bars

Stir sugar and butter and almonds in large pan. Keep stirring until you get a rich caramel color. Pour mixture once it is thickened into jelly roll pan. Put chocolate pieces on top of toffee. Spread melted chocolate evenly. Put crushed nuts on top of chocolate. Let cool.
