IDA'S SOUR CREAM CAKE 
3/4 c. raisins
1 1/2 sticks butter
2 eggs
1/2 pt. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. walnuts, chopped
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy. Add lightly beaten eggs, vanilla and sour cream. Separately mix flour, baking soda and salt together. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture. When blended smoothly, fold in raisins and nuts a little at a time. Pour mixture into a greased tube pan. Bake in 375 degree oven for approximately 1 hour. Optional: Sprinkle top of cake with confectioners' sugar before presenting.

NOTE: This cake is not too sweet. It tastes great with hot cup of coffee!
