CHOCOLATE BROWNIES 
2/3 c. butter
2 c. white sugar
4 X-lg. eggs
4 env. (1 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. lg. walnut pieces

Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In saucepan, melt butter and cool slightly. Add and beat well with spoon after each addition: sugar, eggs, chocolate and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Add nuts.

Pour into baking pan and even top. Bake 30-35 minutes. Cool slightly. While brownies are still warm to touch, ice, cover and freeze to seal in moisture.

ICING:

1/3 c. butter
3 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine and beat until thick.
