PICADILLO 
2 lbs. ground chuck
1 lg. onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 bay leaves, remove before serving
Pinch oregano
1/2 c. sliced stuffed olives
1 sm. can tomato sauce

Brown meat, onion, green pepper, garlic, bay leaves, oregano, and olives. Stir to prevent burning. Add tomato sauce, salt, and pepper to taste. Cook over low to medium heat for 1 hour and 30 minutes covered and the last 30 minutes uncovered so sauce will thicken. Add small amount of water if too thick. Serve over cooked white rice with green salad and hot bread.
