BEEF PEPPER STEAK 
1/4 c. Crisco oil
1 lb. round steak, cut into strips
1 med. onion, sliced
2 green peppers, sliced
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. cold water
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. garlic salt or powder
1/4 tsp. black pepper

Preheat oil in electric skillet, uncovered at 325 degrees. Add meat and brown. Remove to serving dish. Add onion, pepper slices to skillet and cook until tender. Dissolve cornstarch in water with soy sauce. Add sugar, garlic, salt and pepper.

Pour into skillet with vegetables, stirring until sauce is thickened and clear. Add meat, cook until heated and tender. Serve with rice.

Partially frozen meat is easier to cut.
