LAYERED LETTUCE SALAD 
1 head lettuce
1 c. celery, diced
4 hard cooked eggs, diced
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen uncooked peas
1/2 c. green pepper, diced
1 c. grated carrots (raw)
1 medium onion, diced
8 slices bacon, fried and diced
2 c. mayonnaise
2 tbsp. sugar
4 oz. grated Cheddar cheese

Tear crispy lettuce into small bite size pieces and place in 9 x 12 inch dish. Layer remainder of ingredients in order given. Add sugar to mayonnaise and spread over top. Top with grated cheese; cover and refrigerate for 8-10 hours. At serving time, garnish with additional bacon and parsley or with cherry tomatoes.
