BRUCE'S FAVORITE SPAGHETTI | |
1 lb. lean ground chuck 2-3 pork spareribs (country style) 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 3-4 chopped tomatoes (use canned if necessary) 1 can seasoned tomato sauce Sliced fresh mushrooms 1 can tomato paste 1 c. beef bouillon 2 tbsp. minced parsley 1 tsp. dried oregano 1 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tsp. dried basil Pepper to taste All amounts can be varied to taste. It put in more or less tomato sauce and some red wine depending on how thick I want the sauce. Cook the ribs on a rack in a covered pan in a 375 degree oven for about 30 minutes to drain off fat. Brown chuck and onions in a pan and add garlic as meat is losing red color. Drain off fat. Put meat in crock pot and add the rest of the ingredients. After an hour or two remove ribs and take meat off bones. Put meat back in pot and continue cooking covered for 6 or 7 hours. Serve over hot spaghetti. |
