BLUE RIBBON POUND CAKE | |
1 stick butter 1 stick butter 1/2 c. Crisco 3 c. sugar 6 eggs 2 c. all-purpose flour 1 c. cake flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 c. cream, milk or half & half 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. lemon extract 1/2 tsp. almond extract 1. Dissolve extracts in cream. 2. Cream butter, butter and Crisco. 3. Beat in sugar until light and fluffy. 4. Beat in eggs one at a time. 5. Mix together flours and baking powder. 6. Add flour mixture alternately with cream mixture. 7. Pour into tube pan sprayed with Pam. 8. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes. |
