CRANBERRY - NUT - ORANGE LOAF 
4 c. flour, sifted
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 tbsp. orange rind, grated
2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. orange juice
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. chopped cranberries

Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles corn meal. Combine orange juice, rind and eggs. Pour all at once into the dry ingredients. Fold in nuts and cranberries. Spoon into 2 loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, until done. Serve spread with soft cream cheese.
