1 sm. (6 oz.) can sauerkraut 8 oz. sliced pastrami 3 oz. Thousand Island dressing 8 oz. Swiss cheese 1 egg white, beaten Caraway seeds Enough dough for 1 loaf bread Using your favorite uncooked bread dough, roll dough on floured surface until it is approximately 1 1/2 feet long and 1 1/2 feet wide and is rectangular shaped. In center 1/3 of dough, spread dressing, then add sauerkraut, pastrami and cheese. Fold top of mixture. Fold bottom over top, starting at one end roll dough. Brush egg white over top. Sprinkle with caraway seeds. Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet, 15-25 minutes or until bread is golden. Let cool 10 minutes before slicing into 1-inch pieces. |
