PEACE PIE (BUTTER CRUST) 
1 stick (1/4 lb.) butter
1 qt. fresh, frozen or canned peaches, sweetened to taste and sliced if fresh
1 c. self rising flour
2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. milk

Melt butter in a baking dish. Slice and sweeten 1 quart peaches. Make a batter with flour, sugar and milk. Pour batter over melted butter in baking dish. Place peaches evenly on top of batter mixture. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with topping of whipped cream or ice cream.
