OATMEAL CRISPS 
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. rolled oats
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and vanilla and beat. Add rolled oats, baking powder and salt. Mix well and drop by teaspoonsful 2 inches apart. Bake in 375 degree oven for 10 minutes. Makes 3 to 4 dozen. Remove from pan at once to prevent breaking. Very sticky when hot.
