MY MOTHER'S CURRIED RICE AND
ONIONS
 
1 1/2 c. rice
3 lg. onions
3/4 tsp. curry powder
3/4 c. whole milk or light cream (recipe says top milk!)
Pinch mace or nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. butter

Cook rice. Peel and slice onions 1/4 inch thick; cook until tender, drain. Combine all ingredients and heat well. Serves 6 (amply).
