SUGAR TOP APPLE CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. sifted cake flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. chopped apples

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix and sift flour, soda, salt and cinnamon together; add gradually. Stir in vanilla and apples. Gently spoon into greased and floured tube pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Cool in pan 10 minutes.
