1 1/2 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. milk
1 or 2 eggs
4 tbsp. onions, chopped fine
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. melted shortening
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix and cook in deep fat at 350 degrees. Drop by teaspoonful.
