BLACK BOTTOM CREAM CHEESE BARS 
CRUST:

1 c. flour
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted

Heat oven to 325 degrees. In large bowl combine flour and remaining crust ingredients; mix well. Press mixture in bottom of ungreased 9-inch square pan or 11x7 inch pan.

FILLING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. rum extract
1 tbsp. vanilla

In large bowl beat sugar, brown sugar, butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add remaining filling ingredients; blend well. Spread over crust. Bake at 325 degrees for 25-35 minutes or until edges are light golden brown and set. Cool 30 minutes.

GLAZE:

1/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 tsp. rum extract
4 tsp. water

In small saucepan over low heat melt all glaze ingredients, stirring constantly until smooth. Drizzle over warm bars. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving. Cut into bars. Store in refrigerator. Yield: 36 bars.
