PEPPER STEAK | |
1 lb. sirloin, cut into paper thin strips 2 pieces celery, cut diagonal 2 med. onions, sliced 1 lg. green pepper, cut in wide strips 2 c. water 2 tbsp. cornstarch 3-4 tbsp. soy sauce Blend 2 cups of water with cornstarch and soy sauce. Put about 2 tablespoons oil in skillet or wok. Cook sirloin over high heat, stirring constantly, until browned and just done. Remove from pan and put in vegetables (add a little more oil if it is needed). Stir fry until transparent but still crisp, not limp. Return meat to skillet with vegetables, quickly add the cornstarch, water, soy sauce mixture. Cook until thickened and flavor blended. Serve over rice. |
