HOT SPICED BEETS 
1 lb. cooked, sliced beets
1 sm. bay leaf
1/4 tsp. clove
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt

Heat vinegar, sugar and spices to boiling and pour over beets. Prepare early so seasoning penetrates beets. Serves approximately 5.
