DILLY CASSEROLE BREAD
1 packet yeast, dry or compressed yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1 c. cottage cheese
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. instant minced onion
1 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. dill seed
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 unbeaten egg
2 1/4-2 1/2 c. flour
Optional
1 tsp. parsley flakes
2 tsp. bacon bits

Soften yeast in water. Combine in mixing bowl with warmed cottage cheese. Add sugar, onion, butter, dill seed, salt, soda, egg, parsley flakes, bacon bits and softened yeast. Add enough flour to make a stiff dough, beating well after each addition. Cover. Let rise in warm place (85-90 degrees) until doubled in size (50-60 minutes). Stir down, turn into well oiled 1 1/2 or 2 quart casserole.

Let rise in warm place until light 30-40 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees about 40 minutes until golden brown. Brush with butter. Makes 1 round loaf. Warm slices (spread with butter) 1/2 minute in microwave, for best flavor.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
