3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 cups sugar
1 cup Hellmann's Mayo
1/3 cup milk
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cloves
2 eggs
1 large apple, peeled and chopped
2 tsp baking soda
1 cup seedless raisins
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Grease and flour 2 (9-inch) round baking pans. In a large bowl with mixer at low speed beat the first 10 ingredients 2 minutes. Stir in apples, raisins, and nuts. Pour into pans.

Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes or until tester inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pans and remove. Frost with sour cream frosting when cool.
