FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. white sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 beaten egg
1 (No. 2) can fruit cocktail

TOPPING:

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped nuts

Sift together dry ingredients. Mix together egg and fruit cocktail including juice. Fold into dry ingredients. Pour into greased 9 x 13 pan and top with brown sugar and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve with ice cream.
