3 c. sugar
1/4 c. white syrup
4 egg whites
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. confectioners' sugar

Cook sugar, water and syrup to medium boil until spins thread. Pour over stiffly beaten egg whites. Beat until mixture holds its shape. Add vanilla and powdered sugar.
