2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
2 to 4 tbsp. cream or milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Mix all ingredients together and blend until smooth. Add milk until desired texture is acquired.
