WHITE MOUNTAIN ICING 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. white syrup
4 egg whites
4 tbsp. water
Pinch of salt
2 tsp. vanilla

Put sugar, syrup, salt, and water on to boil in saucepan. Let boil until a soft ball will form in water. Beat egg whites until stiff. Pour hot mixture slowly over egg whites while beating with mixer at high speed until stiff. Add vanilla flavoring.
