BUTTERMILK PIE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
4 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pie shell

Combine sugar, butter and flour. In another bowl, mix buttermilk, egg yolks and vanilla and dry mixture. Cook in a saucepan over low heat until thick. Pour into cooked pie shell. Top with meringue.

This recipe is so close to the one I got from one of my co-workers. It was from his Grandmother in Louisville, I have been making this one for over 50 years. I am so excited to have found another like the one I have. Mine says to cook the filling until it foams, thickens and is clear. So good and yummy!! Thank You so much. Donna
