THE BEST BEER CAN CHICKEN | |
1 (4 to 5 lb.) whole chicken 1 (12 oz.) can beer fresh herbs paprika 2-3 cloves garlic sun dried tomatoes salt and pepper, to taste Wash chicken. Slice garlic into thin slices. Push garlic slices, sun dried tomatoes and fresh herbs (sage and thyme are excellent for this) under skin. Season outside of chicken with paprika, salt and fresh cracked black pepper. Insert an open full can of beer (Guinness works great) into cavity of chicken and place onto preheated grill. Cook for about an hour and a half on medium low heat. Chicken is cooked when skin is crispy and brown and juices run clear. Let stand for a few minutes, slice and serve! Submitted by: DS |
