BEEF WITH GREEN PEPPERS
1 lb. beef steak (round), sliced thin
3 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. MSG (Accent)
1 slice ginger root, (optional)
4 tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. salt
2 med. green peppers
Garlic, crushed

Slice meat 1/4 inch x 2 inch, mix with soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar, MSG and set aside; all day if possible. Stir often. Rinse green pepper, cut in chunks. Put 2 tablespoons of oil in wok or large skillet over high heat, add salt first then green pepper, stirring constantly until peppers turn dark green, (less than 1 minute). Remove peppers and add remaining oil to pan and ginger root and garlic. Stir in beef mixture and turn constantly until beef is almost cooked (about 2 minutes). Add green peppers and mix thoroughly. Serve immediately over rice.
