ICING FOR DOTTIE'S RED VELVET

2 LAYER:

1 c. milk
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 c. solid Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter flavoring
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 pkg. coconut

4 LAYER:

2 c. milk
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
2 c. solid Crisco
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. butter flavoring
2 tsp. almond flavoring
1 (2#) pkg. coconut

Cream together in cold milk beating with whisk, flour and salt over medium heat. Refrigerate until cold.

Cream Crisco and sugar until fluffy, add ice cold creamed mixture from refrigerator. Beat well at high speed. Add flavoring, beat well. Be sure cake is completely cooled then frost. Add coconut between layer, sides and top. Happy eat.
