BEER CAKE 
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. butter
1 (12 oz.) can beer
1 c. raisins
2 2/3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 c. coarsely chopped filberts or pecans

Combine molasses, butter and beer in a saucepan and heat until the butter melts. Stir in raisins and let the mixture cool 15 minutes. Sift together dry ingredients. Stir in the nuts. When the beer mixture is cool, pour it over dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Pour batter into greased and floured (tube) pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

GLAZE:

1 c. 10X sugar
Liquid honey to moisten

Pour over cake.
