BLACKBERRY GLACE PIE | |
1 baked pie shell 1 qt. blackberries (or strawberries) 1 c. sugar 1 c. water 3 tbsp. cornstarch (4 tbsp. for strawberries) Wash and drain berries. Place 1 cup berries and 2/3 cup water in saucepan. Simmer 3 minutes, then run through strainer to remove seeds (blackberries). Blend sugar, cornstarch and remaining 1/3 cup water. Add to cooked mixture and boil until thick and transparent. Stir constantly. Remove from fire and cool. Alternate berries with sauce into pie shell. Chill at least 2 hours. Serve plain or with Cool Whip topping. |
