M & M CANDIES SUPER COOKIES 
1 pkg. (15 oz.) M & M plain or peanut chocolate candies
1 c. butter
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Coarsely chop 1 1/2 cups candies; reserve remaining for decoration. Beat together butter and sugars until light and fluffy; blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour, soda and salt; mix well. Stir in chopped candies and nuts.

Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes. Remove from oven; immediately press 3 reserved candies into top of each cookie. Cool on wire rack. Makes about 5 dozen.
