1 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar, divided
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
1/2 c. finely chopped pepper mint
2 tbsp. cream cheese, softened
1 tsp. milk
1 drop red food coloring

In large mixer bowl cream butter, 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour, then nuts. Mix thoroughly. Refrigerate while preparing filling. In small bowl combine candy and 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar.
