1 recipe for sourdough bread TOPPING: 2 c. brown sugar 1 c. butter 1/2 c. water FILLING: 3 tbsp. butter 1/4 c. sugar 1 tbsp. cinnamon Allow bread to rise until double. In saucepan heat brown sugar, butter and water. Bring to boil. Pour into two 9-inch round pans. Melt 3 tablespoons butter. Mix cinnamon with 1/4 cup sugar. Roll dough out in a rectangle. Cut in half. Brush each with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Roll up like jellyroll, starting with long side. Cut each into 12 pieces. Arrange on top of syrup. Let rise until they are doubled. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes before turning onto a plate. |
