RAISIN CRUMB PIE 
3 c. raisins
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. corn starch
Water
2 c. flour
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 tsp. baking powder

Combine raisins with 3/4 cup sugar in saucepan. Cover with water and boil 20 minutes. Then add corn starch mixed in water to raisins to thicken. Cook a little longer. Set aside. Combine remaining ingredients and crumb together. Take out 3/4 cup crumbs and set aside. To remaining crumbs add 2 beaten eggs and 1 cup milk. Pour raisins into 2 unbaked pie shells. Pour batter over top of raisins. Spread reserved crumbs on top of pies. Bake until cake batter tests dry at 350 degrees.
