2 c. milk (scalded & cooled to 110 degrees) Add: Let dissolve. 2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. salad oil 2 eggs 4-5 c. flour, enough to make a soft dough Mix all ingredients together and beat until smooth. Place in a greased bowl and let rise until double. Roll out 1/2 inch thick. Cut into desired lengths and shapes. If hollow centers are desired, stretch before frying. Fry in hot oil until browned. This recipe also makes good doughnuts. Roll in sugar or glaze. |
