SCALLOPED POTATOES | |
3 tbsp. butter or fat 2 tbsp. flour or cornstarch 1 c. milk 3/4 tsp. salt 2 c. sliced potatoes 1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs; optional Combine butter, flour, milk and salt; cook until thickened. Arrange alternate layers of potatoes and sauce is greased casserole. Cover with buttered crumbs. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Yields 6 servings. |
