CHICKEN FRIED PORK CHOPS 
6 pork chops
1 beaten egg
1 tsp. milk
2/3 c. fine dry bread crumbs or cracker crumbs
2 tbsp. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt

Trim excess fat from chops. Mix eggs and milk. Dip chops in egg mixture, then in crumbs. Brown chops on all sides in hot shortening. Season with salt and add 1/4 cup water. Cover and cook over low heat 45 to 60 minutes. For crisp coating remove cover the last 15 minutes of cooking.
