Do not refrigerate or use electric mixer. Day 1: Put into large glass or metal bowl; stir. Day 2, 3, and 4: Stir daily. Day 5: Add: 1 c. sugar 1 c. milk Day 6, 7, 8, and 9: Stir daily. Day 10: Add: 1 c. sugar 1 c. milk Stir well. Remove 3 cups of batter and give 1 cup to each of 3 friends with a copy of this recipe. To the remaining batter, add: 2 c. flour 3 eggs 1 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. vanilla Optional additions: Raisins, extra cinnamon, brown sugar, nuts, dates, berries, apples, and bananas. Bake at 350 degrees in well greased pans. Bread pans (fill less than 1/2 full - makes 2), 50 minutes. Muffins and small breads, 40 minutes. bundt pan (greased and floured), 50 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pans. Bread may be frozen - dough cannot be frozen. Enjoy. |
