AMISH FRIENDSHIP CAKE MIXTURE 
1 c. sour dough starter
Flour
Sugar

Day 1: Place sour dough starter in a container with a loose cover. Don't refrigerate. Days 2 - 4: Stir. Day 5: Stir, then add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk. Stir until smooth. Days 6 - 9: Stir daily. Day 10: Stir, then add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk. Stir until smooth.

Remove 3 cups of the mixture, place 1 cup in each of the 3 containers to give to friends. Give the 10 day "feeding" recipe to them. Use what remaining to make the Amish bread recipe (in Breads & Rolls section of this cookbook).
