1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. milk
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. cocoa

FILLING:

2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. Crisco
1/4 c. butter
2 tbsp. milk
1 c. marshmallow creme

Mix cookie ingredients together in order given, alternating milk and dry ingredients. Drop by generous teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for about 5 to 7 minutes. Cool. Mix filling ingredients. Spread on flat side of cookie and top with another cookie to make a sandwich. Refrigerate or freeze.
