BEEF-BARLEY SOUP 
1 1/2 lbs. lean ground meat
4 diced carrots
2 diced onions
3 cloves diced garlic
1/2 c. fresh parsley
1 c. chopped celery

Add all to approximately 2 quarts of water. Simmer 1/2 hour and add 1 cup barley. Simmer 1 hour more. Good!
