GULAB JAMBU 
1 c. dry milk powder
1/2 c. pancake mix
8 oz. heavy cream
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
Vegetable shortening for frying
1 tsp. rose extract (optional)
1 tsp. Cardamom powder (optional)

Step 1: Mix water and sugar and boil the mix for 5 minutes. Let it cool down and add rose extract and cardamom powder.

Step 2: Mix dry milk powder, pancake mix and heavy cream to make dough. Make 1 inch balls of this dough. Fry these balls at low heat until golden brown.

Step 3: Remove balls from the frying pan and put it in the syrup made per the Step 1.

Step 4: Let the balls cool down for 1 or 2 hours. DO NOT refrigerate. Serve with little syrup on it. Makes about 15 each.
