DROP COOKIE 
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Nutmeg (opt.)
Coconut (opt.)
Flour to thicken (start with about 2 1/2 c.)

Cream shortening, sugar, egg and vanilla. Add milk and flour mixture alternately. Since this recipe has so much milk, the cookies are more like small cakes. Bake at 375 to 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
