DING BATS 
1:

1 1/2 c. dates (cut fine)
1 c. sugar
1 egg (beaten)
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

2:

4 c. Rice Krispies
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 1/2 c. shredded coconut
Plus extra coconut to roll

Cook ingredients in group (1) for about 10 minutes over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add group (2). Roll in balls and then roll in coconut (extra).
