BRAN MUFFINS 
1 c. bran cereal
1 c. water
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. honey
2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
2 c. oats
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix bran with water and let stand 10 minutes. Combine oil, honey, buttermilk, eggs and brown sugar. Mix well to combine. Stir in bran. Meanwhile, combine oats, flour, salt, and spices. Mix with dry ingredients, stirring just enough to moisten. Stir in nuts and raisins. Bake for 20-25 minutes.

Can store leftover batter in refrigerator and bake next day. These are wonderful and keep well. Can be frozen. I bake these any time I have breakfast guests, for brunch, or for S.S. Dept. coffees.
