PEANUT BUTTER BLOSSOM COOKIES | |
1 3/4 cups flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 cup vegetable shortening 1/4 cup butter 1/2 cup peanut butter 1/2 cup brown sugar and white sugar 1 egg 2 tbsp. milk 1 tsp. vanilla Sift dry ingredients together. In a separate bowl, cream shortening and peanut butter, adding sugar and eggs. Blend in milk and vanilla. Add dry ingredients mixture to creamed mixture, mixing well. Roll mixture into balls about the size of a walnut, then roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375°F for 6 minutes. Remove from the oven and press a Hershey Kiss in the center of each cookie. Return cookies to the oven for approximately 3 more minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool. |
