OATMEAL BREAD 
1 c. quick oatmeal
2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 pkg. yeast
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
5 tbsp. melted shortening
2 tbsp. molasses
1/4 c. warm water

Dissolve yeast in the 1/4 cup warm water. Mix rest as you would for any bread. Let rise, punch down, let rise and shape into 2 loaves. Let rise again and bake 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes. I use the same recipes for dinner rolls.
