IOWA CORN CHOWDER 
4 slices bacon, chopped
1 lg. onion, chopped
3 med. potatoes, pared & diced
2 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
20 oz. frozen corn, cooked (2 sm. pkg.)
1 c. milk
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. paprika

Cook bacon until crisp in Dutch oven. Add onion, saute until soft. Add potatoes, 2 cups water, salt and pepper. Simmer 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Remove from heat. Stir in corn and milk.

Blend flour with 1/2 cup water; stir into chowder. Cook 1 minute until thickened, stirring constantly. Sprinkle with paprika before serving. 10-12 servings.
